What to Spend $ On...?
So, I was going to get an AK-47, and I'll probably still get one, but I want to put some money into my car. I would like to spend $600-$1000 max. Not sure what I should do next. Currently the car puts down 310 hp and 320 tq. at the wheels and averages 20 MPG (27-28 highway). I'm good with wheels and tires. Ideally, I'd like the car to be in the 12's with great daily driver capability. The fastest run so far was on spinning, crap 245 rear tires and I pulled off a 13.4 @ 105. I now have a cutout, 315 Nitto's, and should be able to hook next time.
Things it needs:
-Misc OE part fixes (Window scrubbers, pass. side mirror, ash tray, floor mats, etc.)
-Respray front bumper cover
-Brakes: Upgrade rotors, pads and possibly calipers
Things I "want":
-Upgraded seats (Corbeau)
-Roll cage
-Engine mods - If so, what?
-Suspension mods
-Other....
I'm going to do the brakes soon, as the rotors are warped (Hit the brakes and my steering wheel goes crazy). But what comes into play here is should I spend decent money on a nice upgraded braking system, or just something OE and put the rest into more mods? My company has accounts with DBA (Disc Brakes Australia), Brembo, Roto-tech, Powerslot, Hawk, etc. Any ideas/recommendations are much appreciated.

All the little OE things are going to be fixed anyway. I want the car to be in good shape. That's a whole other fund which is good - I just need to find the parts! I was thinking a ported LS2/LS3 intake? Local guy does them installed for $275 here:

Thanks man. Any vendors here good for some decent brakes? Most of the vendors I deal with at work sell fairly expensive, high performance kits. Or any group buys going on that you're aware of? Got some front/rear pads and rotors years ago for my former Z28 on a group buy here.

I agree with this, if you want to break into the 12's this is exactly what you need. Also, a tune on top of LT's and an O/R Y would really seal the deal. As for brakes, man you might want to hit the suspension/brake section on here and do some reading. They have a lot of good threads in there with a bunch of different opinions pertaining to different types of brakes you could get into.

AFAIK, you can run an LS2 intake on an LS1 but it's fairly pointless since the LS6 intake outperforms it. Someone please address this if I'm mistaken.

I would invest in a set of subframe connectors. You have already went with a sticker set of tires and you don't want to go twisting your F-body out of square. A set of Comp. Engineering 3-way adjustable drag shock are less than $100 a pair.

Go with the longtube headers and ORY. That will keep you at the low end of your budget, around $600. You could get a set of Pacesetter cheaper than $500. Reuse your stock header gaskets. Some basic non-adjustable LCAs from UMI/BMR would be around $110. Brakemotive has a rotor/pad sale going on in the Sponsors Sales section for $170. Great product. I just got slotted rotors for fear of drilled rotors developing cracks. Still it's a great upgrade for the price.
I'd pass on the race seats and roll cage for now. I guess if that's what you REALLY want to go for it. Even running anywhere in the 12's you don't need a cage. 11.49 or quicker will require a cage.

Thank you guys. I'll be running two types of tracks this year - mainly New Jersey Motorsports Park (Road racing) and Cecil County Dragway. I'm ordering Centric rotors with hawk pads for the front and rear. $350 shipped is my cost, and should last me/stop me for some time. I was told this as well:
"The front pad happens to be used in police pursuit vehicles which is why is marketed as Fleet Performance. These pads are perfect for what you want to do…street use and occasional track days. They are quiet, clean, and can handle a lot of heat (MOT 1400 degrees F)."
I think that sounds good! I'll be looking for some headers, an ORY, and frame stiffeners most likely in the used market - which I am okay with. I'll keep these thread for reference as well as I ponder what else to do.

Hahah thanks for the recommendations guys.
I ordered these StopTech/Powerslot/Centric rotors:
126.62013SL and SR (front slotted rotors)
126.62033SL and SR (rear slotted rotors)
& StopTech/Powerslot/Centric pads:
306.01540 (front pads)
309.04130 (rear pads)
2-3 weeks due to a b/o on one of the rotors.
I'll post up once they are installed.
