gas pedal feels mushy
I'm new to the f-body scene, and i came here from a mustang. For some reason i feel as though the gas pedal is heavy and unresponsive. Is this normal? The mustang's gas pedal felt light and very responsive. Maybe it's a bigger displacement thing? Any advice would be appreciated.

The gas pedal feeling has little to do with the motor. The cable assembly is what you are feeling. Not sure what mustang you had but for example my 2013 gt is an electronic pedal where as the ls1 f body's were all cable actuated. I prefer the cable it feels heavier and not as touchy. You will get used to it.

On later years the throttle cable cam is made "nautilus"
profile, to make the throttle require more initial travel
per angle of opening - I believe as a CAFE trick. The early
Camaros, and the trucks, used a more circular cam with
faster initial opening. This is your perceived throttle
response most likely. Low timing can also make the
motor feel soggy, and these cars will pull a fair bit of
timing without telling you, if there's any knock history.
