LQ9 rebuild advice
Hello people, new to the LS engines. I'm rebuilding a 6.0 LQ9. I just want to bore it .030, re-use the crank, and rods. Install new flat tops, and get the 317's redone. Does this sound like a pretty good plan, or am I all wrong. Im gonna put it in a 87' shortbed C-10, for cruising and power tour like trips. Also, what cam and lifters would be good for this set up? What's the easiest way to go fuel injected? I will back it up with a 700R4 trans, and probably 3.42 gears. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Looks like a good plan... I think the 224r cam would be good for this...what do you mean by the easiest way to go fuel injected?
To swap into a c10 requires:
Dingo motor mounts
Modified harness
PCM reflash (remove the vats,emissions,etc)
Inline fuel pump, regulator, and plumbing
Drive by wire pedal assembly if needed

What I meant by the easiest way for fuel injection is, what intake and injectors should I use. LS6 intakes I think will work with the heads I have. Thanks for your help.

check thunder racing or Texas Speed for cams and other needed parts.either get a harness from the donor vechical or 1 like it.or try painless wiring for a harness.you can get a stand alone system from elderbrock.look at some ls7 lifters.get a cam kit, cam, springs ,and push rods.maybe mill the heads a little.
