I'm sure there are advantages to the different CAI systems, but I already own the hood and love the way they look. Just curious, has anyone ever used a hood and an under bumper system in conjunction or does that create a negative effect?

Trying to come up with a UD pulley but totally on a budget with just buying the car 4 weeks ago and all the other mods.

.
I do, no adverse affects for me. though I did a lid as well as the chrs1313 system at the same time. I don't have track times yet, but the car pulls noticeably harder on the interstate. You block off the air that would go through the hood and into the intake, so that's not an issue.

I just finished up installing LT's and an ory on my car and it made a huge difference. At idle and cruising speeds it is no louder than it was before. I have a borla catback if that makes any difference. My only regret is not doing it sooner.

NEWEST UPDATE:

A few weeks ago I 1) gutted the cats, and 2) added a Firehawk hood for the cold RamAir, with no other changes the car went 12.33@110 with my heavy ***, and 12.15@112 with my feather weight son.

Today I went back with the colder DA and had some new bests with me (my son was not able to make it). 12.11@112.99 and all my 60's were down 1-2 full tenths from spinning every round cause of the cold ground. Still got a few weeks to try and get that 11.99 I'm looking for before they close here in St.Louis. It did pick up 2/10ths from the cold air.

Bonus: they had a Shoot out Race and I got 1st Place!

1 7/8" long tube (TSP) headers might get you there, my car really isnt loud and I have no cats w/magnaflow catback.

I'd love to see any two bolt ons (other than nitrous) do more for your ETA than Long Tubes and a Stall.

Nice numbers for what you've done. Just a nice stack of mods that work. What does the car weigh?(with no light or heavy *** in it.LOL)

Not sure, but will try to get it weighed soon. My son has the same car and it only weighed 3415 with no driver (full weight minus the spare tire).

Went back to the track today for King of the Track, although I sucked in 2nd round the car was workin good!

1/8th mile 3 times 7.72 and a 7.73, 1/4 mile TT-1: 12.126, TT-2: 12.119, E-1: 12.129 on a 12.12 dial, E-2: 12.138 on a 12.14 dial.

I see you're a 2nd gen nut too. I also have a '79 Formula WS6. 403, TH350. It doesn't have the low mileage like yours, though. It's stashed for restoration one day.

As far as the pulley goes, They won't show much on the dyno but they do help at the track.
I would, change to 3.73:1, and you will spool up quicker coming out of the upshift, less RPM drop.

Another update, put my son back in the car, no changes except cooler air and a great DA.

11.930@113.64mph and a 1.688/60ft.
