Some updates, I pulled a valve cover off finally and it has some nice springs and retainers in it, was hoping for more than stock rockers, but that's ok, No casting numbers inside the head, they were ground off.. :-( going to take a borescope to tehy cylinder this weekend.

Also installed a moser with 3:73 detroit trutrac

Retuned it on E85, but convertor wouldn't hold lockup, made an additional 28 WHP unlocked with the addition of the E85 and moser.

Took it to the track and did this to it..

There is a slight belief it was built for nitrous, as the car had a huge 6AN feed line stil lin the car and if theory is correct has large ring gaps since it blows a little oil until it gets nice and beat on. Or maybe its just worn out.

Had the car for almost 7 years and it has never had anythign done but oil and tranny changes..

What makes the skirt look weird to you?

Nothing out of the ordinary. I can't really tell from the pic, but you said it was not so stock looking. And with obvious h beam rods, I highly doubt they are stock pistons.

I think I'd change the valve spring's before you find out how old they are the hard way.

Pulled the engine to swap the tranny (4l80) and go to a tubular k member.

Pulled the pan and this is what i found..

Why would this be spaced down to clear the crank?

Maybe I missed it, but what did you end up paying for this car? (if you don't mind sharing of course).

$4500 for the car. Then sold it to my uncle for $6000, (because my wife didnt like it and wanted an RX8) a couple years later she cheated on me while I was overseas, we divorced and my uncle sold me back the car. WOOT!

I bought a tranny for it because it chewed up the stock 4l60 that was in it as well as a Moser 12 bolt and some Race Star wheels. I'd venture to say I have $8500 in the car after the recent purchase of the Fast 92/92 and tuning.

This doesnt include the $2500 full 4L80 swap I also have on the shelf for it, but that will be offset once the removed parts sell. I cut a local kid a smoking deal on the tranny and LS6 intake.
