I have a 6.0 in my crew cab long bed 2500HD and 3 ls1's in 3 different 4th gen z28's

I am starting to regret the path I am on here... reconsidering.... maybe I should replace all these ls engines in my vehicles with 301 pontiacs , or 307 olds?? maybe 262 or 267 chevys or a 2 valve 4.6 ford....

I dont know so many better options out there

What's there to regret with an LS engine? The only thing to kick your self about is not going bigger. Too many settle with 5.3s being cheap too soon see how wussy it is compared to a built 6.0 or 6.2 or even the 7.0

The LS platform is definately one of the best V8s out there. Basically the one and only thing I dislike about the LS engine (and I know this is going to touch some feelings in a negative way) is the sound. IMO, almost any other V8 sounds better. Its not that they don't sound tough, its just the tone they create.

I'm cool with the way the Ls sounds, as long as it performs and doesnt sound like a fart can, I'm cool.

Like mentioned above...The pocket book does hurt. Its not cheap to do a LS swap the "new" way. Junk yard engines is another story.

Why would u he interested in that turd of a motor? I would rather sh** in my hands and clap then own one. The terminators 4v is ok but other then that they just suck.

until you find out a turbo is even easier to do and if it all goes wrong you just pop in another cheap 5.3 and retune!

The Gen 3 and 4 engines are the best thing since indoor plumbing.
