If you're not willing to put a cat or a muffler on the car it's going to be tough to really remedy the problem. What if you change a merge or throw a bullet in there and it quiets it down a shade and the same person complains again? You still don't have an argument that will work.

If I were in your shoes (this is only my $.02), I'd slap a high flow cat on it and a high flow bullet in the back. At least then you appear to be much closer to compliance with the local laws in the event someone still has a problem with the sound.

My argument, be it right, wrong or indifferent, for anyone that complains about the noise my car makes is that "I have to pass the same emissions test you do". They usually don't have much else to say after that.

Okay update had a dynomax on it. It was too i mean too quiet until i hit 2300 rpm then it was mean dounding. I didnt like it at all and took that.out.Still at wide open flow. Oh and i honestly didn't no that longtubes were illegal. Learn something new everyday.
