Default How to find out how unique my 02 SS is (or isn't).

Just a quick question, how would I go about finding out how many cars in 02 came with the same options as mine has? I'm in a tussle with Allstate after someone rear ended me at a red light, totaling the car, and they're currently working on an estimate.

The car is a 02 SS Camaro 35th Anniversary SLP edition.

6-speed, cloth interior, hardtop and navy blue metallic.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Edit: Nevermind. I read that I can call SLP and they should be able to help me.

Just keep in mind that all SS's went to SLP for the WU8 conversion. That' it's NBM, hardtop, and cloth verifies that it's "just" a regular SS and not a 35th Anniversary Edition. All 2002's have the 35th dash plaque; however, the only 35th "edition" is this:

Isnt that one ^^ the "LE" limited Edition 35th anny one?

And any car in 02 is the 35 anniversary edition, whether it be z28 or SS?

Yes, this is correct... just as much as any 2001 is a 34th anniversary or any 1973 is a 6th anniversary. <facetious>

There is nothing "special" about the 2002 cars. The only "special edition" is the LE as shown above. Otherwise, it's "just" a normal, run-of-the-mill 2002 Camaro SS. Not saying that as a bad thing, just that's the truth of the matter.

I don't really know about how many were in fact made in the Anniversary series, but I don't see them driving around every day. They are really just a specialty badged up Camaro "SS" according to one guy I ran into from time to time at a car wash... That is why he said he started putting more aftermarket parts on it to make it a little extra special (Horsepower wise anyway)

Hood/deck strips, blacked-out scoop panel, grille/rear panel inserts, machine-faced/black wheels, unique fender badges, charcoal seat inserts with embroidered headrest. That's it

Exactly what he said. (The guy at the car wash.)

IMO I don't like the look of the 35th anne LE Camaro SS... but thanks for the info on finding out how to figure out what SLP # the car is... Haven't seen too many Arctic White 02 SS's with CME so I am pretty excited! Wish SLP had a VIN code search for info on your car on their website, would make more sense.

OP, the main thing with any insurance company is for you to 'reject' the offer they first give you, unless you are happy with it. All you have to mention is that it is unacceptable and 'your attorney' will be contacting them. The insurance company will come back with a 2nd price within days if your car was decent. If it was high mileage and in average condition, then not likely.

This list is probably the best you are going to find:

http://www.camaroz28.com/2002-camaro...ction-numbers/

I have not seen a break down of hardtop vs t-top or cloth vs leather.

Hey OP, I'd be willing to bet that your car is more rare than most 02 35th LE cars!! According to Camaro White Book only 482 NBM coupe 6 spd cars were built and that number includes T-top cars. As for the LE cars there were 1037 coupes with 6 spd........And BAD2theBONE only 232 AW 6spd coupes were built, that's the lowest number built of all the 6spd coupes in all colors!! These numbers are for SS cars. Larry
