When you get ready "Bluecat" is an excellent tuner down in Ashland, Kentucky. Jr. totaled a 900 WHP Camaro convertible out on Corridor G last month. He had 2yrs. and $25k in the motor. Basically, he had it wide open in 5th gear. Thank goodness he lived. They had to look to find him. The car disintegrated.

Yep that was him, out of the hospital in 72 hrs. Lot of road rash and a mean gash behind his right eye. Sounds as though you like to pound the pavement. We live up on Montrose. Lot of guys go out to Quaker Lube on Thurs. night and some go out on the Corridor to show the bikes and cars off. Good luck with your build.

Yeah, I'm on WVStreets.co . Let me ask you something. Are the LS2 243s the same as the LS6 346 243s? There is a difference I feel because the LS6 Head cylinder is smaller than an LS2 Head cylinder. LS6 is a 346 block, LS2 is about 368 block. What other parts are you trying to collect?

Forget the K&N filter, it has to be greased and more often than not the grease gets on the MAF sensor wires and causes issues. A normal paper filter is more than fine and you won't see a difference in power.
Smooth bellow is also not worth it unless you like the looks.
Id also suggest ditching the flowmaster as it will sound like a farm truck with the headers on, and rob you of quite a bit of easy power over other aftermarket catbacks. If you want to go cheap Id suggest a Hooker catback.

Go with the bigger 1 7/8" headers (will only see gains, no downsides, plus you don't have to swap headers if you want to make big power later on). - wish i would have done this...

thx, I joined WVMotorsports. I do not want to make the call on your 243 Heads. Trickflow Heads performs a little stronger. You should be able to trade your LS2 Heads for the 346 LS6 Heads.

The LS2 heads will work fine. All 243/799 heads are the same even the one's that come on some of the later model 5.3's, the only difference is the LS6 heads have light weight hollow stem valves. If those patriot springs are used unless you are 100% sure that they are very low mileage (like less than 10,000 miles) I'd replace them, a broken spring could ruin your entire motor. A Brian Tooley dual spring kit is only $220, I'd call that cheap insurance. And one more thing, you'll need some center bolt valve covers and coil brackets, 98's have perimeter bolt valve covers and the coils bolt directly to them.

Another question.....After the install of just the ls6 intake and hi-flow lid, It should be ok without a new tune shouldnt it? At least until I get the rest of the mods installed?
