Default Budget ws6 build

As some may be aware, I picked up a bone stock 98 ws6 the other day. Only mods were a flowmaster cat-back exhaust and a spec (stage 2) clutch. I have about 2500 to play with. What would you suggest? New or Used items

You could save some money shopping around a little and buying used parts, but copying and pasting the shopping cart all from one vendor was the easiest way to make the list. I'd probably buy the LS6 intake used and use the extra cash on a ported TB, MAF ends, and a mail order tune.

The intake and lid is good, but depending what headers those craigslist headers are the tsp ones above are the ones to get.

You sure its a ls6 and not a ls1 with no egr right?

Definitely save some cash by buying some parts used. However, im not sure if you mentioned it OP, but id probably do maintenance first. Like oil change, new tires, plugs, brakes etc... If all thats checked out, then move on to the fun stuff

Luckily the lady I bought it off of handed me a stack of receipts of all of that within the last 500 miles, minues the tires (which are still in ok shape). So I get to jump right in.

Default Nothing

Please do not touch the car. Unless you are planning on racing your car, modifying a car is the worst thing that can happen to it. Modifying never stops. There will always be John across town that has a faster car. Put your money in the best tires and suspension. Modifying and speeding tickets go hand-in-hand. A clean car is always outstanding.

No, the taller airbox makes the gains very very small.

Default Tune

When you get ready "Bluecat" is an excellent tuner down in Ashland, Kentucky. Jr. totaled a 900 WHP Camaro convertible out on Corridor G last month. He had 2yrs. and $25k in the motor. Basically, he had it wide open in 5th gear. Thank goodness he lived. They had to look to find him. The car disintegrated.
