I have a UMI short stick the piece of metal itself is perfectly straight but it does seem to have a little kant towards the drivers side. It is mated to a pro 5.0 power tower shifter. I'm going to take pics now.

The UMI is my all time favorite short stick. The mounting surface is milled at an angle, and that's what determines its position. I've drove one that was perfectly straight, and didn't like it near as much.

Is there an angled stick that fits the mgw shifters?
