Question need help to reassemble 5.3 vortec.

Hi everyone! I'm new to working on engines. I have a 5.3 vortec out of a 01 Silverado. I also have a 4l60e I'm putting in a 98 s10. I tore the engine down to the block, I left the pistons and crank in. I took the cam out and the rollers. I had the heads cleaned and checked.I bought a complete engine gasket kit and I also bought new headbolts I'm now putting everything back together. I have the cam and rollers in I put the can plate on then the can sprocket and the crank sprocket. I aligned up the 2 dots. I'm guessing that's what I'm supposed to do? I really have no idea. The can sprocket dot is straight down an the crank is straight up. I'm not sure if I'm I'm on the right track or not. Does anyone have a step by step directions for a complete engine Assembly? Or where can I find them? My gasket kit didn't even come with instructions. Any help is much appreciated!
