Default Ripped off my umi tunnel mount torque arm!

So 2 days ago I Ripped my ta off pulling in to a gas station on the tank refill lids. The brackets that it connected to are trashed. I was wondering if anyone has fabricated a solution and reinforced it. I was thinking of cutting off what's rest of the old brackets and welding some 2x1 square tubing and drill some holes in it and put some bolts with lock washers.

I'm sure Ramey or Ryan could help with some ideas -- I bet one of them will post...

This is the reason I switched back to the long arm setup. Much better ground clearance, especially with a lowered car. I cant count how many times I scraped the crossmember like you described, final straw was when I had a guy from the bodyshop pull my car in the shop. Not knowing any better he used the sloped entrance instead of the flat entrance & it ripped the crossmember pretty bad.
