Default Why is it fast?

i have a 2000 z28 convertible A4 and 2 weeks ago i tuned it with a diablo sport intune and now the car feels stupid fast..... why?

Torque management on automatic cars greatly reduces the output of the engine, and thus removing most of that makes the whole car feel and perform better.

Plus the OEM tune on these is so overly safe that even a basic canned tune can make a big difference.

i turned off torque management, advanced timing, slightly leaned it out and increased **** pressure and i ended up beating an srt8 charger because of it

Probably your shift points that makes the car feel faster, you also might have picked up a few hp for the can tune.

There are things we can do to our vehicles which make them feel quicker, even when they aren't.

so i looked at the cast number on my heads and they're 241 heads, but its a 2000? could it have an ls6 intake also?

theres a chance the previous owner swapped heads or engine. Whats the part # on the intake? Does your car have egr and air?

Later produced 2000s got 241s....but they got fouled up by extreme **** pressures so be careful.

Does the car spin more since you did the tune? When I put my street tires on my Mustang I always thought it was faster because it would spin a lot, where it just hooked with the drag radials. Just another thought.
