C5 corvette or ws6 firebird
I have been looking at a couple of cars and decided yo ho with a f body firebird( I think they look better than the camaro) or a c5 corvette. The max I can spend is $13,000-14,000. What do you guys think? Pros and cons?

Well eveything will be more expensive for the vette as far as parts etc. Depends on your needs. To be honest, if i wasnt a broke 18 year old college kid at the time i would have opted for a vette, though i only had 6k to spend, the way i drive my Z28 (on sunny days only, sometimes not even those) makes me think about selling and getting a C5Z06 now.

Depends on what you want to use it for. Pure pleasure car Corvette, but I know for a fact you can put a sh*t ton of groceries and stuff in a f-body if you fold the back seat down. Costco and Wal-Mart are right next to either near me.

It would not be a everyday car, I might be selling my bike so I need something to replace it. As far aparts costing more, do you mean bolt-ons or parts just to general maintenance parts. I'm trying to find something under 75,000 miles, prices seem to be all over the place.

I occasionally look into C5 pricing in my area, and about the cheapest pricing I ever see for examples that I would be willing to buy is about $17-20k. But I am picky.

I think you should buy the Firebird. You will get a MUCH better condition F-body in that price range than you will a C5, at least if pricing in your region is anything like mine. The C5s I see for $14k or less are not cars that I would want to buy (too high mileage, etc.) But $14k should get you an excellent condition very low mileage F-body no problem.

I've thought myself about selling my 38k mile Trans Am to get a C5. But i just can't grasp the fact i'd be selling a low mileage, perfect condition LS1 to get a high mileage and potentially beat up Corvette. I'd spend the extra 3-4k and get a low mileage Corvette if you're going that route.

I was in your shoes about a year ago. I decided to go with the WS6 because i knew i wouldnt be happy with the vette until i could upgrade to a z06. corvette part are ridiculous in price. For your price range you can find a pristine condition 02 WS6. Have you owned an fbody before?

T/A's turn heads and that's a fact, c5 ? Nice cars but everyone has them, are you retired and just wanna cruise or you wanna take the tops off and look for trouble?

No I'm 26 no kids and looking for a replacement for my motorcycle. It seems in my area a nice clean t/a can cost as much as a c5. I'm finding c5's verts, frc's, and coupes with about 50,000 to 70,000 asking price of 15,900. Most t/a I can find are the same price with the same miles or a little lower. The only cheap nice ones I find are black and I don't want black.
