Default Buy used shocks or not?

Is it worth the effort to buy used shocks with 20k miles on it?

I'm looking into used knoi shocks but undecided if I should buy just brand new ones?

Maybe, if they are street miles. 20k miles is plenty enough to kill a set of Konis if you autoX regularly. On the street they last 40-50k miles, so considering the work to change the fronts, I wouldn't pay but 40-45% of retail for them.

SA's have a lifetime warranty for the original owner, yes.

The SA's on my T/A were new in late 2002, but I have the receipt, bought them from Strano, and plan to have them rebuilt next time the car is ready to go back on the street.

Buying new ones is the only way to go. Do you really want to think about how the used shocks were driven for the past 20k miles?? No thanks.

To me, buying used shocks is like buying used underwear. Sure, the person may be pretty cleanly, but do you really want someone else's *** on your ***?

I'd save the cash and buy new to take uncertainty out of the equation.
