Lt1 vs ls1 cars 6spd drove both back to back
My daily is a 99 SS m6 all stock ...
I replaced a clutch today in a 1995 lt1 car ....
I took it for a spin after...
1st thing I noticed is the clutch pedal is a lot harder to push than mine ....
Slave cylinder vs hydraulic bearing ..???..
Next is . It went real good but a little sluggish compared to my car ...
It seemed to run out of steam fast where mine just keeps pulling ....
.also the lt1 car shifted like a truck long loose shifter throws ....
My shifter seems to have a lot less throw and seems tighter ....
Both cars are stock ....
My SS has a leather hurst shift **** ...
Is mine a upgraded shifter because it's a SS?....??
The other car had the round black ball ....
Just my $.02 ramble for the night
Take it as you will

both cars being stock or comparably modded an ls1 will be faster. period. end of discussion so what you post is accurate.
as far as clutch feel maybe it needs to be broken in.
yes,its possible your SS ls1 fbody came with a hurst shifter upgrade. check your vin or window sticker if you have it.

If you have a leather Hurst shift **** and the shifter feel seems different than other stock shifters, then it's quite possible that you have the upgraded Hurst shifter. Check the SPID sticker on the driver's door jamb for RPO BBS (Hurst shifter option).
