If it took you 12 minutes to read that, you might be a bit 'special'.

OK so I sent the guy an email asking about documentation he has showing the factory installed an LS6. I know some of these cars came with that motor in 2001 and 2002 but his reply was a little strange, here it is:

I have the paperwork from GM saying it would be built with a 3800 V6 .....the LS6 block has the stampings of being built by the Winters foundry in Michigan. The LS1 was built in Mexico ...Just a few at the end of production has LS6s ... you can check it on line

Now did they really throw V8's in car that were meant to have V6's????

Some late T/A's did come with the LS6 block (block only) with LS1 rotating assembly and LS1 heads, not to be confused with a complete LS6 engine. Sucks I too must pass on this great deal.

40 miles? Is that supposed to be a good thing? The worst thing you can do to a car is let it sit, especially for 13 freaking years...

That could depend on where it sits. There's a monumental difference between a vehicle being stored in a dirty old barn vs a nice clean showroom or the like.

People are out their minds. Why are so many people on Craigslist bat **** crazy. If I was selling a used car with 40 miles on it I would at least throw a pic or two up btw.

Oh hey, this guy is very close to me. Should I go check it out?

Oh I have no interest in the car, only an interest in seeing what it is.

He responded to my original email where I asked for pics and a more precise location. He sent no pics only said that he was in Yorktown. Which is the SAME town I am in. I asked when we could meet and he did not respond.

hahaha damn it! Lost out on another "great deal"

If my wife ever said some sh*t like that to me I'd be gone. F that. If he does have this car it sounds like it's just sitting, not costing him much. I could understand a wife getting irritated in a race car that costs a bunch of money all of the time but this? Nah, plenty of other good cooks out there.

Orrrrrrrrrr he posted that listing as to comply with his wife's demands, but put up an unrealistic number on purpose as to not sell. Win/win in his book.

Or if someone is dumb enough to buy it, he cashes in big time.
