Default Converting 4X4 6l90 to 4X2

I recently had my 2011 4X4 6L90E converted to 2wd by changing the tail shaft but didnt have the tail shaft housing when this was done. Got it tonight and cant get it to fit. My question is does the bearing/seal in the picture need to be replaced with a different version for the 2wd or does the housing just need to be forced in? Any insight would be great. Thanks.

Thumbs up 4x4 to 4x2 6L90 Seal

I'm in middle of converting a new/unused 09 4x4 6L90 for my rear wheel drive, X-school bus which now runs a 2010 6.0L; to which i am also installing a Sonnax Kit.
But you're right: you remove the rear case seal and discard.
The same part number seal goes into the extension housing, which is the new END of the box. The oil flow in the tail housing lubes the Yoke bushing hereafter.
I am disappointed that no-one has bothered replying to you before now.
I've also had no replies to my BCM free, Tow/Haul queries.
Have a good day.

I picked up a ly6/6l90e 4x4 combo a few weeks ago and am having a hard time finding someone to convert to 2wd. Any ideas?

Was it pretty easy to change the input shaft?
