Hello everyone some questions about a swap I'm starting to plan out. My 5.3 in my truck is dying because of AFM issues and instead of doing a stock rebuild I'm thinking about doing a 6.0 up and dropping it in.i have access to a good running 02 6.0. I plan on stripping it down having it honed hopefully reusing the stock rods and pistons(re-ringed) and putting a new 58x crank with all new bearings. I heard that my 243/799 heads off my 5.3 would be a good combo paired with a mild cam so I will probably have them rebuilt as well. Looking for everyone's opinions on exactly what I should do/need to know about this swap. Thanks so much.

Sounds like you're on the right track. If I'm not mistaken you'll need to add the knock sensors from your 5.3 to the side of the gen III 6.0 block which is no big deal.
