Replacing fuel pump so expensive

Had a bad fuel sending unit, pulled it out and has a cheap aftermarket pump and it was dirty as all hell. Bought a dephi and new strainer. $400 ugh but at least I shouldn't have to worry about it anymore.

At that price you'd just be getting a pump, requiring reuse of the rest of the preexisting module - which is fine if that's all you need or want.
I don't think it's possible to buy the rest of the assembly minus the pump though, especially not OE/Delphi stuff, should such be needed or desired.

When you have to replace the whole unit at once, its very very pricey. Much more so than just replacing a bad pump.
