Hello! ok so i live in Norway and i built a 69 El camino with an ls1 and a 4l60E trans. I now have problems with the Norwegian DMV because they want to know where the engine came from. I bought it from a guy i Norway who i trust but he can only provide me with the receipt for the engine. The DMV wants the vin number from the car the engine came out of. Is that possible to decode? the engine vin is : 1w2134602 . Im really stuck here and it would be alot of help if someone could help me! Thanks . Best Hans.

It is probably too late but the powertrain control module originally for your motor and transmission had the VIN inside of it for the original vehicle that it came out of. The tuner software could have revealed it but it is now likely changed. Take your "2G1FP22G0W2134602" VIN and run it through Carfax.com and see if it makes sense for the vehicle you believe your engine came from.
It shows a 1998 Chevy Camaro Z28 car when I run it. Does that make sense with what you were told by the seller?
