Cam swap

Default Cam swap

I have a 2014 gmc sierra 5.3l vvt, exhaust cold air now want cam i called compcams and they gave me a cam said i can use stock coverter and same lifters also 189-424-13 is part number to cam does anyone know much about this is it to big or can i really run it

We have many options for the new LT platforms. You will need more than just the cam/lifters/spring kit in these. I would be happy to set you up with everything you'd need!

To answer your question, not sure on that cam specifically but the LT's do have a bit looser of a converter than previous model LS platforms. You will still get a push at idle with an aggressive cam so you still don't want to go too big.
