Anyone still have their original LS1 Radiator Hoses??
Radiator hoses must be made better in recent times as they never seemed to last in older cars, but I have been noticing that I rarely replace them anymore. My cars are garage kept which prevents the freezing winter cold issues. Anyone have their original radiator hoses? How much mileage on your car? Is it also garage kept or left out in freezing winter temps?

18k miles on my '98, every hose is still assembly line original at 20 years old. Always kept in a garage. Coolant changed regularly.
When I sold my '02 car in 2014, it had 110k miles and all original hoses as well. That car was almost never in a garage.

Just what I see but I don't really see coolant hoses go bad on any vehicle really. That's also in Minnesota where in the winter the hoses are constantly being warmed up to operating temp around 200 degrees then cooled to sometimes -20 degrees below zero, over and over.

My hoses were still on the car until last year at 155k or so. Then my radiator tank developed a crack, and since I was replacing the radiator, I figured I might as well place the hoses along with it. The originals were still fine with no leaks or issues.

@B52bombardier1 is on to something (post #2). I'm old enough to remember when hoses just didn't last in the 60's 70's cars. I also remember using Prestone and Zerex but apparently it didn't help the rubber, or the rubber was just inferior back then. Again, thanks for the replies.

I just swapped mine this winter with my motor swap. Before they were original to 2001, but car is garage kept and a fair weather driver. I also ditched the power steering cooler for a regular upper hose since they're prone to leak and I don't road race.
