WS6 Hoods

WS6 Hoods
Looking at a 99 Trans Am that I'm told is a WS6. Looking at pics I see some have 4 holes with a horizontal "splitter", some only have 2 larger holes without a "splitter". What gives? Whats the difference?

Sounds like you're comparing the WS6 hood (4 "holes") to the Firehawk hood (2 "holes"). Both were original hoods, but from the different aforementioned trim levels.
But forget about looking at hoods, those are easy enough to swap. You'd have to look at the SPID sticker on the driver's door jamb to know if it was originally a WS6 (which is the actual code you would see, "WS6") or a Firehawk (for which you'd see the code "WU6"). If WS6 or WU6 is not present, then it was just a base Trans Am to which someone added a hood (could even be an aftermarket hood).
