Default Help identifying aftermarket LS1 block.

Hello. New member. If this thread is in the wrong location I apologize.

I recently bought a 2002 Trans Am Ws6. The owner told me in 2012 the engine had catastrophic engine failure that required a new block and rebuild. Im curious if theres anyway to identify the maker of an aftermarket LS1 block. It does not have the single or double bullseye mark the ls1/ls6 blocks are normally identifed by. All I know is its aluminum because a magnet wont stick. Im mostly curious to know who made it so I have an idea of the quality of the parts and build.

Post up some quality close-up pics of this please. Try to get some pics of the front of the engine, maybe use your camera phone and take some pics of the front area around the accessories. Most if not all aftermarket blocks stamp their names on the front of the block somewhere. Did the previous owner specify that this is an aftermarket block?

Were you able to get a look at the pistons yet?
