5.3 vs 6.0
So i have been trying to choose a motor for my L.S. swap for my 1956 Belair someone told me that the 5.3 has more horsepower than the 6.0 cause I was thinking about going with the 5.3 any information on this would be greatley appreciated. Looking to see what motor has the best bolt on options and would be the best bang for buck

Whoever told you that lied, The 6.0 is a bigger engine and will make more power. If you want a good daily driver with some power. Just go with a 6.0 a small cam and some long tube headers add a higher than stock stall if it's an auto and depending on your rear end gear ratio it'll light up the tires pretty much anytime up to about 35-40 mph.

Seriously though, do a little research. Both engines are identical dimensionally as far as external bolt on's would go. And I'm sure you've heard the old adage..."There is no replacement for displacement"
