Who else has an engine collection?
Just picked up a 2008 aluminum(edit) 70,000 mile 5.3 with a bad head gasket for $400, Pulled the heads before purchase and confirmed it was just the head gasket. It goes with my other engines that I have less than $100 each into = 2 LQ4's, 1 ly6 and an iron 5.3.
Those are just engines I don't have an engine bay to drop them in yet. Just have a hard time passing up good deals.

I hope my wife never reads this...
5-5.3's, 6-6.0's. I can't even count all the 350's 400's 396's 454's Cad 500's couple Buick 455's 401 nailheads. Old's 455's.
These are some of the ones that had to go outside to make room for the "good stuff" to go inside.
It is truly a disease...

I never collected with the idea of making a ton of money on them...I started to collect this stuff in the late 70's...long before the "LS" was even a twinkle in someone's eye...

Just found this old thread. Thinking about my 6 engines hanging in and around my house. It also made me think about my old buddy and boss from the late 80's who used to go from junkyard to junkyard collecting ford 9"center sections. He got ton's of these just stating he would pay $50 bucks each and he took all he could of these Posi's that came out of mostly vans and trucks at the time. He must be rich now. lol.
