Tough question
HOW CAN I LAUNCH BETTER? I launch good im just seeing if anyone has some good advice...So i run one of my 4th gens in a oval track. Its a 1/3 mile from a dig. One of the most common things people do at the track including my self is remove rear sway bar. I run stranos and orange konis. 315s on all 4 corners nitto 555rs. Full umi and bmr suspension. Its a lt1 doing llyod elliot cam and lunatic springs and 1.6 rockers this offseason

I usually power brake mine at the drag strip. I don't have a transbrake, so foot-braking is my only option. My converter will allow me to get my rpms around 2500 before spinning the wheels, so that's where I try to hold it. Not all drag strips are prepped very well, so I utilize a "studder-stomp" technique. Basically, when the light turns green, I stomp on the gas pedal to about 75% throttle. That's enough to flash the converter and get the car moving. Then, I try to stomp the gas pedal through the floor.
I was using the Nitto 555Rs on my car as well, but in the 275/40 R17 size. I just picked up some M/T 315/35 R17s. I'm anxious to see how they perform. The 275/40 R17s just spin if I go 100% throttle off the line. The "studder-stomp" technique keeps them hooked up though.

That is a good idea 75 percent throttle then 100.. il try it. I usualy just get excited and stomp it ..the first 30 feet at the oval mean alot lol btw 100 tread minimum at our track..
