Best block to build for boost.

I'm looking at building a nice street 2002 SS. What do you think best block would be. With on going lsx or high end forged .looking for 1000hp or around 850whp

The answer to which LS block is "yes." I'm going to go LQ4 6.0L.

850whp shouldn't be an issue for any of the LS based blocks afaik. Although a built LSX would be pretty cool.

Id say best depends on your budget.
Also 850 to 1000 is a big jump. When I was pricing out parts on my build, It was a huge difference in $$$ too.
