The "rear seat" is actually three separate pieces: the seatback, which spans the width of the interior, and the two bottom buckets. You'd have to fab pedestals for the buckets and possibly a custom rear console to make the setup work in a Chevelle.
And because you asked, I had to go measure. My Firebird seatback is 40" across while my 69 GTO is 54" The only way your idea might work is if you were to have custom side bolsters made in addition to the console and pedestals. In other words, the whole thing would be a Rod & Custom type job.
