Default Well, if anyone lost money on GameStop, you can always pan for gold in my oil 🙄

Unfortunate sight in my drain pan from my LQ4. This is the first oil change after I put it in my S10, and only did a cam swap. It doesn’t knock...yet. Sounds like a sewing machine like all of these motors do. Maybe now I can justify building a second motor until this one windows the block!

Metal shavings don't look to bad. I posted a thread not to long ago with a similar concern https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...much-much.html

I decided to run it without worries but I did 5 or 6 oil changes to fully flush the system. 30+ 1/4 mile passes later with 1000+ miles so far and the shavings have reduced considerably.

Good luck

Thanks man, I hope you're right. All I've done with this motor is jam a cam in it and run it, probably 500 miles and just 4 passes. Hopefully it'll hold together.
