This summer I decided to drive my car to work (140km round trip on 80km/h 2 lane roads). Managed 8.7/100Km, which is right around 27MPG. Considering the original owner told me all highway when it was new he would get around 10L/100km, and now it has 220,000km and some mods, I'm impressed.

Considering I had 14L left, I could have gotten around 700Km if I kept going - that lower half of the tank is kind of a liar.


Didn't drive like a grandma, t-tops off - no WOT - but it did well!

These cars, well maintained are excellent on gas mileage!

My A4, 2.73 gear 02 Z28 w/263,000 miles, bolt on's can get 27 mpg highway and M6 99 T/A could get ~32.5 mpg highway as a bolt on car.
