Beautiful car, I'm sorry you're going through this. I can relate, something similar happened to me in May with my TA I had for nearly 20 years. And I had to make similar choices. Ultimately, I ended up divorcing myself from the sentimentality (and there was a fair amount) and let it go. I just recently found another one. But mine was also a restoration project already, since it had been sitting for awhile, so finding a suitable replacement was probably easier than finding a Hawk in the same/similar condition. I will say this though, what really pained me about letting mine go was the idea that yet another one of these cars that are no longer made was now off the road for good, also due to the idiocy of another person.

I'm behind you on bringing it back if at all possible and it won't negatively impact you. And best of luck. Can't wait to see it restored.
