wow thats rough. My loan payment is ~$250/month so i want to keep insurance around $200-250. Obviously less if thats possible.
I was thinking that being a resident of savannah would be cheaper than atlanta possibly. So maybe just prove that I am a local resident with a mail address vs my parents house which could let me score lower rates.
Im gonna try giving progressive a call

WTF I don't get it, I'm 19, live in a suberban area, Levittown, PA for anyone that would know, have no ticketson my record , and have good student and driver's training discounts. I totaled my first Z28 but have a much better drivin record thatn alot of you guys lol. I'm secondary under my Dad's policy and I pay $250 a month for my Z28. Full coverage under Allstate, but my dad said that's actually the cheapest available. WTF
On a side note I checked and if I were to get my own insurance, in my own name, it would be $600 a month for insurance, or in other words the refused to insure me.
I need to save some money on this somehow

Im 19 and I pay 280 a month for full coverage on my TA and full coverage on my saturn. This is on my own plan w/ a $500 deductible. BTW this is with a wreckless driving ticket, careless driving ticket, 72 in a 35, and alot of other moving violations. So for my record i think that is half way decent. I also live in Iowa if that has anything to do with it.

I believe you get what you pay for. There's a reason Geico will insure most drivers for less, their coverage is most likely not as backed up as say USAA. They won't stand behind you after a devistating accident as much as they could.

And second I too believe you get what you pay for...however I don't go through gieco or any of those common insurance companies...I actually go through a company called Western National...and It's a company that will only accept you if you have a clean record...so It's critical that I keep my record that way... I never said my insurance was outrageous...I just hate paying it...lol....(who doesn't) I mean c'mon if paying for insurance was like paying to moddify your car...then we would enjoy writing that check...

I pay about $480 every 6 months under my moms name.
She has a few blemishes on her record. Full cover with Farmers
If it was under my name it would be about $1400 every 6 months.
