personally I dont see how an LS1 is really more expensive than a mustang. Especially not for how much power you get out of each. AND our cars sound very good with a true dual setup, in my case, mine sounds better and is much faster than my friends 2000 gt. And he has spent more on mods than me....

BUT, you will get a biased opinion here... yet facts are facts. The LS1 IS a better motor.

You won't regret it at all. Go for the LS1 man. It'll blow the GT away.

Depends on money. The average LS1 car will run you between 15-22k around here, if you like the stylings of the stang then get a Mach 1 with tall gears and bolt ons they will run with the LS1s. The 03/04 Cobra is the meanest 93 octane machine you can buy as long as you drop that IRS. I know of a guy who's running 634rwhp on a street tune 93 octane cobra, low compression + iron block + supercharger from factory = love. But that's 25-28k vs 15-22k. In the end it all boils down to money, if you have enough rebuild your engine and put a TT set up on it and out run LS1s Cobras and mostly anything with the proper traction. The more $$$$ you got the lower your E/T.

It's easy to spend 6k and have a crappy motor built. It just shows the shop who built it sucks.
