Default I own an 02 Stang, should I sell it and get an LS1?

Hey guys i just picked up a cherry condition 02 mustang gt 5 months ago, put and intake and exhaust on it but still want more power, so im thinking about selling it for a LS1 camaro. I will take about a 1,500 $ loss but im craving the camaro, the power, and the t-tops, what should i do, is it really worth it? If any1 has a ls1 for sale in Jersey let me kno.

Nick

A friend of mine has an 04 sonic blue GT, it is a beautiful car, he's got a borla cat-back and a CAI, it looks great, sounds great... but its slow as hell compaired to my car (even when it was stock)

Go with LS1, you wont regret it.

I went from this 01 gt 5-speed with most every bolt on possible + a blower

To my camaro that I drove 1300 miles back to my house, and I couldn't be more happy with it.

My camaro mods listed in the sig and hauls just as much *** as my stang did. .
Another thing, everyone around my area had a blown stang that's lowered.
I wanted something different. If you go for the ls1 you won't regret it!

Yeah, and then you'll want to one-up that and get a 03-04 Cobra. I'd just skip the middle step and get the Cobra.

yeah ls1 is where its at right now, parts are always coming down in price, lots of competition, its the new hot rod engine for modders like the ole 5.0.. i like stangs and have some friends with them, but my buddy moddied his 5.0, spent 6k plus and it put down 285rwhp tuned and 350rwtq. I spent 70 bucks on a lid and 20 bucks for a cutout and 150 for a ported TB, although the dyno wasnt with the TB. For a gm car(knock on wood here) its pretty reliable.

Get the ls1. I had a bolt on 98 gt with 4.10s, it was pretty and sounded good but slow as hell compared to my car or my friends stock auto 98 ls1. You wont regret it... then you start the mods

LS1 no doubt. I spank my buddies 00 GT that has every possible bolton worth having except for an electric waterpump. I tried to tell him......but he likes how the stangs "sound" LMAO! They do sound good, but I'll take sound AND go over blow and no go ANYDAY!

I'm sorry man I hate to call bs, but with $6k+ I could build a pencil sharpener that's at least putting out 300 hp

but to get back on track, with my GT I put it on corral and within a week it was gone, and while it was up I was searching for what camaro had all the options I wanted.

I don't know of any stang that has bolt on's and a cam and can put out the power that a ls1 can make with similar mods. **** I spank mustangs witha blower and bolt ons most of the time, unless its a 03/04 cobra. even then I still can give them a run.

the camaro or T/A has better lines, and everyone has a mustang.

I totally agree. The Camaro and Trans Am are my two favorite cars of all time. While I still like the Mustang, it just doesn't compare to GM f-bodies.

mustangs are cheap for what you get but if you can afford to get a ls1 powered car do it. more natural potential and all around more reliable.
