Was getting 16 city, 24 hwy...then swapped cam, down to 11 city, 22 hwy...though the numbers may improve once I learn to stop burying the throttle...

I'm getting 24mpg city and if I'm driving the freeway at 75mph I get 32.5mpg like clock work. I did back to back checks over 10 full tanks because I was thinking no way. Oh I should list the car 1998 TA 6 speed.

When I think gas mpg I short shift at 2,000rpm and in 6th gear at 50mph. I use 6th gear alot unless I'm climbing a grade, than I downshift to 5th gear. And I use cruise control as much as possible even when climbing a grade.

Last fill up I went 440 miles and use 13.4 gallons

I dunno I got you beat. I get like 180 maybe to 14 gallons = 12mpg city
I do like 280 to 14 gallons = 20mpg highway

I think I need to retune. I shift normal and I get crazy at least once a day whether on the highway or the city .

i average 18-19 in the city and 26-27 on the highway i think its pretty god for what the car is. My moms 06 civic got almost 50mpg the last trip we took i was amazed she almost made 600 miles on that tank.

there's a lot you can do to boost your highway mpg in an M6. first off, 3.42's are great for highway crusing. stock tires and 16" rims are good, too. big, heavy ZO6 rims on 275 tires are a no-no for highway fuel economy (it's my setup ). electric water pump and underdrive pullies are GREAT for fuel mpg. a fast toys ram air kit will boost it, along with better spark plugs, better wires, longtube headers and a good flowing catback. with those mods, TUNED, you will see an EASY 30mpg in an M6. shoot, i can see you pulling 35 mpg with proper driving (65mph). let's not forget proper tire pressure either. high psi means less energy to turn the wheels!

I got a sh!tty tune from a local shop and I still managed to get 30mpg on the highway from here to Tampa Bay and back. Around the city i got BAAAAAD mileage, maybe 10-12mpg. But I just got HP Tuners and my buddy helped me out big time so I think i'll be getting some seriously better mpg around town now.

Ditch the flowcrapper. The Flowmaster catback for the LS1 just doesn't flow as well as the other aftermarket systems.

Default So far I've got the worst

8mpg city 107 miles to the tank 13.2 gallons per refill and 27-28 mpg highway
car is an M6 3.42's STS t-70 42 lbs SVO injectors. When the car was stock
got like 18 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. By the way I drive 1.25 miles to work and have 15 trafficlights to deal with, so 3 miles a day I still only put gas in once or twice a month. How often do you fill you echo, or prius

LOL to one above. I too get horrible milage in town. Usually 12-14. I tried the whole "Keep Your Foot Out Of IT" thing but never seem to be able to a whole tank. I do get 26 on highway in 6th.

If I had it my way, the car would not have a Flowmaster catback. The car came this way and I don't feel like spending money on it other than upkeep. I only use the car for a daily driver back and forth to work for the gas mileage. My toy is my truck, but it only get 17 mpg city and 25mpg hwy. Now back to the regular posting.
