Mine get daily duty when it's dry, regardless of the time of year. Salt/snow/rain and it sits.

Your Camaro, then, is not really a daily driver. Sorry.

Mine will no longer be a true daily driver. It is getting a break after five years.

Yep, love driving mine - especially since I got SHOCKS! I put 25,000 miles a year on mine. Got 'er in Oct '04 with 33k, she now has 86k. I love driving 'er, cleaning 'er, maintaining 'er, etc. It's ALL good.
You see the mods...
I also have done:
3rd or 4th fuel filter
cleaned K&N 4th time
injector cleaning once
flushed diff twice (GM and RP synthetic)
just flushed trans second time (highly recommend this one)
new GM plugs and wires
coolant flushed twice
flushed PS fluid
flushed brake fluid
new rotors and HPS pads all around
new wheels and tires (needing tires again)
Mobil 1 oil changes every 5k, now doing Royal Purple

These cars are not collectors' cars (very few) and they're too cheap not to drive and enjoy. My stealth wired Valentine 1 helps that too.

Well... hmmm
I drive it everyday to school/work, everywhere I have to go for 7-8 months.
I would call that a daily driver.

I drive 3500 express vans pretty much everyday for work and then we'll take my GF's xterra for everything else,so mine aren't DD,but whenever I go out to the garage and pull off the cover I smile like a kid on christmas morning. And when i drive them,I enjoy every second of it!So mine are definately for recreation. There's just something about getting in and driving a clean and new smelling car that justs makes me grin.

Brings up an interesting point that I see on LS1 Tech. The Massive difference in what people call a "Daily Driver" ... IMO... Daily Driver means Every day ragardless of the weather 356 days a year.

That is more or less how I take it. I could let a few days a year slide. No need to drive your car in a blizzard if you have other choices, for example.

Mine was my only car for the past 5+ years so it definately qualified. I wish it didn't, driving it in the snow sucks. Not that it handles it all that badly, but it could be better and with people sliding around all over the place I feel like I am just waiting for someone to run into me.

Not this year.

I agree if the conditions are really bad I just call linto work but I'd do the same regardless if I had a beater or not.

Actually I'd like to get a v6 camaro as a beater. Been driving f-bodies in all kinds of snow for 10 years now and it drives me nuts to drive a wrong wheel drve car ever. I'm too used to the RWD handling and countersteeirng staying in teh throttle.. Can't do that in a Wrong wheel drive car.

put those blizzex's on and have at her hoss. I prefer my 4wd for the winter. I drove my DD for a couple weeks just so that I could get a feel for what she does and handles in the rain and in traffic.

Actually, the V-6es with 16x7 steel wheels, 215/60 16 Nokian RSi snows all around, and 200 lbs. of speedy dry in the hatch would not be bad at all (especially a 5 speed).

I've only put a shade over 150 miles on my 92 in the last three years. All together in the last 9 it's seen under 3k miles. Still runs but awaiting it's heart transplant. Heck, I might get it out and drive it the 2.5 miles up to the cruise and back tomorrow night if I'm not at the race track!!

My SS usually sits in the garage most of the time. I've only put about 15K miles on it in 3 years. Sometimes I let it sit for a week or 2 and then drive it for a week straight if the weather is good. I drive my Caprice as a DD since it's easier to get the kid in and out of the back seat.

Daily driven and almost everyday I end up racing someone on the street/freeway.

I used to get all misty and think about holding on to these things, but in reality, they just get old, collect dust and turn into pain in the asses to get rid of.

So, use the car, like it was meant to be used... :p
