mine has got 5000 miles in 2 years. its got 16,500 miles on it now. i really miss driving it in the winter though. but its time to clean it up really nice and make it real perty for the next spring. the Z71 is the DD. the 01 Z71 has 93k on it and the 00 SS has 16,5 on it. so...guess which one ive driven more. hopefully ill have a heated garage to store it in in a couple years instead of the unheated one. i want to keep it for life and always have it looking as good as it does now.

People who don't daily drive there cars shouldn't complain when it drizzles on there car, that pisses me off, I have to deal with sprinklers, rain, snow everything, and you have a few drops of water and you think you can complain AHHH that really makes me mad, be grateful only a few drops of rainwater will land on your car in its lifetime.

Nope...no DD here! Just got my SS about two or three weeks ago and I've prob put 50 miles on it since I've had it. It sleeps most of the time but when it comes out of hiding, it's a force to be reconed with.
My DD is a 2002 GMC Envoy with 6X,000 on the clock. Perfect for the New England winters and back and forth to work. Oh yeah, and pissing off ricers in traffic.

I understand both sides of this story....I have my garage queen...my '91 Z28 1LE with 37000 miles.....and I have my daily driver 78000 mile 2000 Z28. I just enjoy driving an F-body every day and can't imagine not being able to do that.

Nope. I drive my '94 S10 Blazer 4x4 most of the time.
I'm making up for a year of commuting 70 miles one way, when the only car I had that would do the drive was the Z28. There's about 19,000 more miles than there should be on the odometer.

Mine is a weekend driver. Taking her out in the rain does not really bother me to much. I just don't like running up the miles during the week fighting trafic, and risking getting her hit by some dipshit in Houston rush hour traffic.

Just an FYI for ya ..you might as well drive them till the wheels fall off...they are a depreciating asset...we may love them but the rest of the world does not ... the lack of sales proved that..if they did GM would have never quit building them back in 02..mine is not for sale and probably will never be up for sale..the 4th Gen is still my favorite body style ... the one I have now will be a continous hot rod project till it falls apart..3 years ago it had 10K miles on it..now it has 118K miles and it is still running strong and uses no oil..getting ready to do another cam and head swap ... I say ride em!!..

I agree, unless you have a special collector model of some kind.
When you're 60 looking back would you rather say you had a garage queen or "I drove that car to hell and back and had a ball doin' it!" ?
