Default Price check on 98 Z28

Hi, Iam interested in a 98 Z28,original owner, has 3,125 miles! A4,cloth seats, basically a no frills model. Everything original but battery.
What is a fair price for this Z?
Thanks

My brother just got a '99 SS with 16k miles, fully loaded. I would say a z28 with 3k miles would go for 11k.

I bought my '98 Z28 when it had 11K miles. It's got every option except leather. That was over 2 years ago ('04) and I paid $14K. At the time KBB price was $12.4 for the car but I didn't mind paying over a bit because it was insanely clean (no rain, no snow, heated garage, all papers, 1 owner, etc.).

Depending on prices in your area, and whether or not it's at a dealer, I'd say $11-14K range would be about right.

What's the kelly blue book on it? You can get a 98 for $5K, but not with 3K miles on it. Pay more, it might be better to get an 01/02 car with ave miles on it.

isn't bad for a car to just sit for so long? if a car has 3k on it. and it's almost ten years old, that's like driving it around the block once a week. what's the point of having a car if it never gets driven?

Seriously....3100 miles !!! That's the bomb. I would think that the fact that someone hasn't been kicking the crap out of it for 8 years is worth a little extra. I know down here in TX that car would be worth around 10 or 11 K.....but as always, to the right buyer.

Well I offered the owner 10,800 and he wouldn't sell for that. Not sure if
I will offer more or not.

Again, not sure what the market is like in your area, but if I were selling it in my area, I wouldn't even consider an offer less than $11,500... and I'd probably hold at $12K for quite a while before going any lower.

A 3K mile Camaro (even a Z28) could be some serious show material years down the road, assuming it's properly stored/maintained.
