you guys are all horrible.......your not gonna lose your license, i dont know michigans state specific statutes reguarding traffic violations but the ticket will not go on your record unless you plead guilty...if there is a court apperance required, you will appear and the judge will allow you to either plea non guilty/guilty at that point plea guilty and ask for supervision when you get supervision...being your first offense!!! after like 90 days or so the ticket will disapper...however the only thing that holds you back is in IL where i live you cant be in court by yourself without representation unless your 18 so you might have to have someone i.e. friends dad or a guardian to come with you to the hearing which is usually amonth ahead of the date of the ticket during the week m-f. hope that helps.....and if its any consulation i have had 24 tickets since i got my license 2 years ago.....im not proud of it and the first 20 were n the first year and i havent lost my license yet....so try n slow down cuz it cost money speeding.....the track is cheaper ; )

Things like this happen to alot of people when they first start driving. Learn from this and let it make you a better driver. So next time your going over a hill, around a turn, in the dark or fog, or any place where you can't see what is comming up, slow down. Also,keep your eyes open for cops and things that can cause accidents.

The officer only has to witness the violation to write the ticket unless the law in that state says they have to lock it in or show you. The lock function is there so they remember your speed, since they have to hit the brakes, turn around, and race after you. The cop doesn't stop and try to take pictures of you and your car when your doing a burn-out or cookie, do they. 
Well, I guess a lot of them have cameras in their cars now, but only turn on when they hit the rollers unless manually activated.
Also, don't believe all the arm chair and internet lawyers when they say cops never shows up for the court date for traffic violations, and you will get it dismissed. They usually do and get paid overtime a lot of the time.
