How many people own an A4 SS
My buddy will not believe me for one second that a single SS with an automatic was built from the factory. No matter how many cars I show him he says they're all clones. He says the same when I show him build numbers. Help me shut his *** up, please and thank you.

But he won't beileve anything posted on a fourm. He says your all dumbass full of ****.
Anyone got a link to an "offical GM" web site with production #'s.
He's saying that everyone on here with an SS auto has a clone
BTW, I think it's hilarious watching him squirm finding out he's wrong. Thanks for the help.

It don't get no better than that!
If he still says it's bogus or they are clones, it simply confirms he is an asshat and needs his *** kicked.

Well, your assclown friend is about as dense as lead.
Go on a site like autotrader.com. Find an auto trans SS, and copy the VIN number, OR, get a VIN from a member here with an SS.
Once that is done, take your friend to a GM dealership parts counter, with that VIN number for the auto SS you found on-line. Have the parts guy run the VIN for all associated RPO codes. He will be able to provide you with a sheet of paper that lists all RPO codes for the VIN. Two codes that will be on the list, assuming it's a real SS, are WU8 (SS package) and MXO (merchandised for auto trans w/ OD). Ask the parts guy to pull up the GM part number for the transmission listed for that specific car's VIN. The part number will be for a 4L60E auto trans. What more proof can you ask for?
Not good enough? Ok,.....
Now, ask the parts counter guy to pull up other parts for that specific VIN number that you happen to know are SS specific, like the fender badges. His computer should give some sort of description for the part that includes the proof you need. When the part he pulls up is in fact an "SS" badge/emblem, what will your friend's excuse be then? That the parts counter guy is lying as well?

Thanks for your help. I'll do that tomorrow and watch him arguee with the parts guy. Knowing my buddy he'll arguee and till he gets kicked out.
He's my buddie and all but the thing that annoys me the most about him is the fact that he has to be right about everything. Even when he's been provern wrong, this thread is a perfect example, he won't admit that he's wrong.

Your friend is a retard. I have a 2000 Sebring Silver A4 SS. WU8 is the RPO code to look for. Doesn't matter if it's and M6 or and A4, if it carries RPO WU8 then it's a real SS. Your buddy is jealous that he doesn't have an SS. What does you buddy drive BTW? I'm guessing that he doesn't even own a car!!!!!!!

Honestly you need to get some better friends that are not complete idiots. Just to let him in on a little secret car companies such as GM go into business to make profit, in order to make a profit they need to make more then 1 of a particular car.

hmm not as bad as some of the people i have met -thought they knew. like saying a powerband is a part that only comes on a 2 stroke dirtbike in the carburator and not a engine dyno chart term.. and cool link. im 1 of 48 for my type of car. less popular then i thought it to be. or a (insert foriener here) kid not to be racist , thought his 3.4l v6 camaro was the fastest car on the road. and the top of line camaro performance. so tell your friend atleast hes not the dumbest person you have heard of.

Now he's trying to play it off like he knew it all along. He told one of my other buddies that he's been messing with me telling me that for the past 10months even though hes been so damn adamant that fact swearing on his life. He started giving my buddies production numbers that I showed him yesterday. I can guarantee that he went home and researched it lastnite, so now he's trying not to look like a total dumbass. I'm defintally gonna show him this thread the next time I see him and see waht his reaction is.
Thanks for your replies so far.
