I put my '99 SS on the scale... My buddy works at a dairy, so we tried the scales out tonight.
1999 Camaro SS, hardtop, A4, no weight reduction, gas tank near E.
3400 lbs, with no driver...
I thought it would be 3600+.

All the stories Iheard of the 3rd gen cars being lighter are false 
i weighed mine the other week and i hit 3560lbs with no jack or spare tire and at the time i think i even had the rear seats out :S... why do these motors tend to make a 3rd gen faster then??

i thought it was 8 lbs per gallon. maybe that was water, nevermind. I just remembered being surprised when i filled up my 55gal fish tank and the sucker weighed like 450lbs. Now you know why people run at the track at almost empty, gas is heavy
