Dealerships can be ridiculous with prices. $23K for an '02 F-Body is off the wall, especially with 50K on the clock. It it had something like 10,000 original miles, then that would be different.
The most I'd pay for that car, under any circumstances, would be $20K. Thats about what KBB is, but it still seems kind of high to me for a vehicle that only cost about $32K 5 years ago, brand new.

Get the KBB for it and the other lol i forget someone on here know and tell them you wont g0 2k or so over KBB. and still want top dollar for your trade. They obviously know you want it thats why they spiked it up. also say you want a car fax done and if it is not spotless or was a lease vehical 50+k seems like it was get them to drop the price. If its your dream car try to hussle them anyway you can before you give up. Take the thing for a test drive pull a fuse for the SES light to come and and complain to them when you get back lol.

If my T/A costed me that much I would be driving a 03-04 Cobra.
I think that price is too high.
I paid 16k OTD for my 2002 T/A m6 every option minus ws6.
It was a certified car as well, so it came with a warranty.
Had 40k on it when i bought it. That car has 10k more miles even though it is a ws6, I don't think that warrants 7k.
For a comparison, I bought my 2002 firehawk, every SLP option, 9k on it in 04 for 26,500. Sold it a few months later for 29k. Sticker was 39k and some change.

Paid $18000 for my 02' SOM WS6 TA with 53,000 miles. They were asking $19,900. $370 car payment plus $230 insurance per month. Oh well, it is my practical dream car also, I work for my car, and do not regret it one bit.

I think it's sad that this dealer would price this car only $6K less than the price I paid new for a car that's now 4 years old, with 50K miles of use.

Unless you really, really, really want it, I'd wait. In June 05, I paid 19,000.00 for a black base model T/A with only 22,000 miles. It has most everything that one has, except it's an A4, and not a WS6. Mine was in near perfect condition too.

i agree with everyone on here about the price, and how much to pay for a dream car. just another example, last month the dealership here in town had a 2002 ws6 w/ 18k on the clock and they were only asking 18k for it. if i could have afforded another fbody it would have been in my driveway.

The sad part is...I know that within a few months that Camaro will no longer be sitting there.

I just called the saleswoman and told her that the highest I will go is $300/month. I told her that I was looking around on online and I found a ton of Camaros and a couple Trans Ams in the area for less money and less mileage. Of course they're not SOM but if I can find a Camaro SS or Trans Am with 30k miles for 14k, there's no reason this SOM Trans Am with 50k miles should be as much as it is. She basically said she doubts it will happen but I really don't care. It is my dream car but I can't kill my own financial security over it.

Good call man, I mean it sucks passing up a nice car like that but again it is way overpriced. For that price you could go get a new 05 or 06 GTO with an LS2 and zero miles...I say find a nice 98-02 ls1 on this board or in your local area for much less than that ws6 and if your dead set on the color just have it repainted.

Blue book on that car is $21,000 grand. Average mileage is 62,000 for it. For a dealer that isn't too bad of a price with the time of year and rareness of that color. Still off them 20,000 and see what they say. The 02's are a double edged sword. They cost more but they will also hold there re-sale better. No way in hell you're going to find an 02 WS6 for less than 17 grand unless there is something wrong with it or a private seller is desperate.
