stock, our ls1 beasts are already fast off the showroom. i run, stock, 292rwhp/323rwtq, which over here, really is enuf to beat GTs, common fart-cans, etc. i raced a bmw m5 who's license plate said "500hp", and he just slowly pulled away from me - a $60,000 sports/luxury car racing a $16,000 stock muscle car and the more expensive one just barely kinda walks away? i'll keep my power for now and make my car look fast(er).
besides, people cant compliment u when ur flyin by them at 120+, or when u beat them from a light.

go fast: lid, k&n filter, s3 tb, msd wires, edelbrock long tubes, ory, lm II cat back, 9" with 3.89's, umi lca, ls7 clutch, built t-56, pro 5.0 shifter, free mods
looks: tint, berger panel, black halos, black corner markers.
im looking to buy a beeter so it can rest for the winter

Speed then looks,I did it in that order too. 
I get more of a high going fast then looking good. But remember that some peformance items for a street car like the 17X11 wide TT2's with the 315 nittos on the back do look good also.
