my girl is getting an A4 99 Z28, and i went to meet the seller to check over the car. car was looking good on the outside and inside. it has T tops so im pissed off , and shes tormenting me about it. test drive... well coming from an M6 LT1, i feel no difference whatsoever. trans downsifts properly, suspension creeks like every other camaro lol, and all maintenence is taken care of except the rear end (ill be doing this). the car has 135,000 miles on the car, all freeway miles. its never been dragged, with the exception of launching a few times or mashing the gas and burning the tires. water pump was replaced and battery, and the low coolant sensor is bad (what else is new?)

he wants $7,000 for the car.

6-6.5 would be a decent price. In the low end, you're really not gonna feel any difference, its up top where the LS1 shines.

it all depends where your from 7 really isnt a bad price for the car, but hell if you can get him down more, thats more $$$$ in your pocket

my ls1 felt like it pulled harder than the LT1 M6 i test drove, b4 i got the trans am.

Beleive me. I have both and a Stock LS1 feels alot stronger than an LT1, low end or top end.

its her car.. so im letting her decide. i just said my input on what i think an LS1 feels like.. althouh you cant feel anything without an M6 behind it.

well i like the direct connection to the engine that you get from having a clutch.

i dont think she will be getting THAT much into modding it. im gonna start her out with an SLP lid and loudmouth.

Start her off with those 2 mods plus a stall and drag radials. She'll be knocking on 11s with just those 4 mods

Lol, I know a guy in a STRIPPED 5.0 with a 4400stall, built C4, trans brake, and slicks and a cam (stock E7 heads still, etc.) and he runs 12.7-9@103-4. I guess his 220-230whp is just TOTALLY wasted by not having a clutch, huh?

I've had M6 and now the A4 and I can assure you that you can feel plenty with the A4...especially with the stall. M6 may be more fun, but A4 is faster for less money.
