Yes confess unless you are in the situation I was on during college. I wanted to do minor mods to my 68. I was supost to transfer to a four year university and was saving up accordingly. Just mentioning spending on the car turned a good father son relationship into a damn near fist fight. keep the car at college as you will only need a ride to college because "you have no car and will walk around or bum a ride ". If you can trust it there all by itself. very risky, 'fess up or get rid of it. College is way more important in the long run. play what ever game you have to to get through then get a good job and build the Camaro of your dreams. good luck you'll need it waht ever route you take.

So I was right? You only have to hide it for a short time? Well, whatever you have to do man. I have been in similar situations with parents in the past...hope everything turns out ok...eventually you will learn that doing it this way is always harder in the long run...

OK if you bought the car it must be in your name along with the insurance right? and if your dad doesnt know about it he cant be paying for it which means your are, so who cares you bought it so why does it matter? Just grow up and stand up to him

I'd probably be pissed if i was your step dad and told you that i'd help you with college if you were broke and you went and bought a new car. Story sounds kind of fishy, there is holes in it. This is wierd........in conclusion, you are wierd.
