do you think they named it "quaker" because it starts to resemble oatmeal after a few hundred miles? hahahaha

I would NEVER buy anything that is meant to protect a high tech machine and yet bares the name of a group of people sworn to carrages and horseback.

That's funny cos my 99 A4 doesn't either.

Guess this really buggers up Stanger88's pointless poll

As of 7/01' the YM02 build was instituted, including the Napier and 13# rings. 7/01' is about 50% of 2001 production (carried over for ALL of 02'). I think if you look at my poll's results you might shock yourself. I am definitely going to get a 7/01' car or later.

No worries, I'm just messing with ya.

Although it really doesn't bother me either way. To get a 01+ Fbody it would have cost me nearly double what I paid for my 99. Think I can live with a little oil buring if it happens. Well 1000's of others do anyhow.

Yeah pretty much. Fbody's are really rare here, and I got a cracking deal on this particular one. It had been traded in for a new s197 Stang and the dealer was just chopping it out at cost

I contemplated the S2K just b/c I like the cars, but too much $$ and I hate 'verts. I understand design parameters and a few squeeks rattles never got to me. I just dont like blatent issues (drinking oil like mad, ect).

My friend ran penzoil and got ALOT of sludge in his motor until he changed to Castrol, so IMO penzoil sucks and i will never use it, but if you like it, use it, it's your motor.

Dang...and I thought GTX was some sludgy ****! I had to back-to-back oil change every few 100 miles to get all the Castrol GTX outta my motor when I bought my LT1 and put Rotella T in it.

As to "35% oil life" thats a load of crap. Synthetic oil gets the SAME amount of filth in it as regular, it just retains its chemical properties longer, still the same contaminants though, I say change it!
