If you use over 1 qt of oil, post up how much you use, and what transmission type and year model.

you might also want to know what gear ratio people have and how hard they drive their cars.

O1, A4, 19,4xx, just checked the oil tonight before I went to a friends house and it was still on the full mark. The 1200 miles on the oil does include a 500 mile trip to the beach and back running 85-100 mph.

arg, went 1200 miles so far on M1 10-30 EP and used 250ml of oil (1/4 qt). Most of this was road-trip. I will be switching to 0-30 GC in an attempt to quell this!

'02 SS w/59k on the clock. It would use some when I ran M1 5/30, but now I go 5k between changes with GC 0/30 and a large Wix filter to run 6 quarts...NO CONSUMPTION.

Dude... I am the exact same kind of person! Very very picky, mr. perfectionist, and always paranoid! Which just makes it worse to own a car like we do.

My 2001 C5 burnt a freakin' quart TWICE over the same 800 mile trip. A full quart.

While my 2002 Z06 didn't burn any at all.

My 1999 stopped burning a half quart ever 5k after about 50k miles.

I can't find the article that shows how they changed the pistons in the 2002 LS6. They put these scrapper looking things to pull oil out so that it didn't burn as much.

i have an 02 with 16000 on it. in the 4 oil changes its had ive been between 1/2 to 1 quart low on all of them. i blame the pcv and my driving habbits though. im always trowling around in a lower gear ready to jump on it and listening to the exhaust note. not to mention my shift light is set at 6000 and i always race, even if its by myself!!!

I have an 02 LS1 in my car if that counts... definately uses more than my 98 motor did, at least a qt every 3k. Still no piston slap though.
